Dr. Jinchuan Chen is an Assistant Professor at Renmin University of China. He received his Bachelor degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology of Beijing Normal University in 2001, and his Master degree from Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. He then obtained his PhD from the Department of Computing from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2009 with the dissertation titled ‘Cleaning and Querying Large Uncertain Databases’. In June 2009, he joined the Key Laboratory of Data Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, Ministry of Education (Renmin University of China). His research interests mainly focus on uncertain data Management, data integration and unstructured data management. He has published more than ten papers in top conferences and journals like VLDB Journal, VLDB, ICDE and EDBT etc., and co-authored a chapter in ‘Encyclopedia of Database Systems’(Springer 2009). He is a reviewer for several journals including TKDE (IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering), JCST (Journal of Computer Science and Technology)，and Journal of Software.
