Information: Dipl.-Ing. Pierre T. Kirisci received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the University of
Bremen in 1996. Mr. Kirisci started his career in an international trainee programme in Product
Marketing of passive components at Siemens Matsushita Components GmbH & Co. KG in
Munich, Austria and France. After his military services from 1998-1999, he worked as a service
engineer for a German manufacturer and provider of pharmaceutical tablet presses based in
Cologne where he gained experience in world-wide service activities. In the beginning of the year
2000 he continued with his career as research scientist at BIBA. Mr. Kirisci has extensively been
involved in several regional, national and European projects as a project manager and as a
coordinator, dealing with Mobile Computing. He is now a research scientist in the division of the
Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH an der Universität Bremen (BIBA), Germany.
His research areas and interests are new interaction paradigms for ambient intelligent
environments and model-based methods for design of mobile interaction devices - Wearable
Computing. He develops wearable computing applications for production environments with a
special focus on user-centered design and evaluation methodologies, the development of
technology surveys and mobile positioning solutions.
