Active Capacitive Sensing in Wearable Computing
Abstract: This talk will show the result of three years practical research practice on capacitive sensing for wearable computing. Sensors are based on light and flexible metal textile, which can be easily fixed to human clothes or body. This active sensing method detects change between the senor and human body, on and even beneath the skin. Varies of real or semi-real applications have been tested, including: remote control system in hospital, digest detection, breath and pulse monitoring in sleep and etc.
